What Causes Tense Hand Muscles?
I am 17 years old. How come lately my hand for writing is really heavy and disturbing. It has bad writing. When writing it, it feels like the contractions of muscles are not aligned. Is there a problem?
When writing for too long, it can indeed cause your hands to become stiff, tense, and painful. This will have an effect on writing which can be even more tidy compared to when the hands are not exhausted. If this happens, generally the condition will improve after the hands are rested.
But in addition to excessive hand use or repetition of movements, complaints of stiff hands, tension and feeling heavy can also be caused by other conditions such as arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome (median nerve in the wrist pinched wrist), arthritis, a history of previous injuries, disorders of the body's metabolism and neuropathy.
To help reduce your complaint, you can try some of the following tips:
Rest your hands regularly when writing
Stretch your hands and fingers
Eat healthy and nutritious foods and multiply vegetables and fruit
Inadequate daily fluid needs
Try not to crush your hands while sleeping
Apply pain relief gel if necessary
Warm compresses on hands
If the complaint does not improve soon, you can consult further with your doctor so that additional tests can be done if needed, for example by EMG, MRI, CT scan, blood tests to determine the cause. Furthermore, you can be given a more optimal treatment huh.
Hope it helps you,
