What Does Anhipoechoic Lesion Look Like?
Doc I want to ask if the results of my right hemithoracic ultrasound result show anhipoechoic lesions on the pleural cavity dextra size +/- 7.4 x 7.1 x 2.5 cm, what does that mean doc?
Hello Siti, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Based on the ultrasound results you wrote above, it can be interpreted that there is an abnormality (lesions) suspected of being blackish (anhipoechoic or hypoechoic), please reconfirm your writing results because anhipoechoic is not a standard writing of ultrasound results in the cavity between the right lung and the layer (cavum pleura dextra) with a size of approximately 7.4 x 7.1 x 2.5 cm.
If you only see these results, then the possibility of the abnormality is in the form of a liquid that is in the cavity. However, to ascertain what the possibility of your condition is, it is highly recommended to consult these results further with the doctor who recommends that you do the ultrasound for reconfirmation and adjustments to the results of your physical examination and determine further therapy.
I hope this helps.
