Good morningDok I want to ask the activities that I do can not make me happy even though I like the activity, is that included mental disorders?

Thank you for the question.

Do not like activities that were previously interesting can be a sign that you have a mental disorder, such as depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, cyclotymic disorder, alcohol or drug related psychotic disorders, even schizophrenia. It could also be, in fact the condition that you experience is only a part of mere saturation. Other factors, such as poor stamina, unfavorable environmental conditions, being in trouble with family or social environment, facing reality that is not in line with expectations, in the process of healing after illness, and so on can also worsen this condition.


Distinguishing which conditions are considered reasonable and which are included mental disorders should ideally be done by going to the doctor or psychiatrist. However, judging from the current condition of the COVID-19 pandemic, non-emergency examinations (including checking complaints as you feel) are far better postponed until the outbreak has subsided.


Therefore, you can do the following natural treatments first:

Introspect yourself, correct if there are certain mistakes you made before, don't just blame yourself or mourn your fate
Learn from bad experiences or failures that you have experienced before, make it as a motivation to make yourself better
Build a positive soul, don't think bad of looking at yourself, other people around you, even God who has created the best destiny for you
Stay active as usual, busy your days with productive activities
Work according to your passion, or vice versa, learn to like your work
A time to yourself to do things that make you happy, like gathering with family, doing hobbies, honing talent, buying favorite things (naturally), and so on
Stay away from drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes
Don't be too alone, daydreaming, or daydreaming without purpose
