What Is The Cure For An ACL Injury?
n u003cp class = “MsoNormal ” u003eI injured my knee about 2 years ago. The doctor mentioned that my ligament was torn. For treatment through surgery it will cost approximately 50-75 million. I decided to take medication through the therapeutic step only because I could not afford to spend that much money. Now, I can walk as usual again, but I am not completely healed. I can’t do sports like futsal and pencak silat which I do. I want to be able to recover as before. Hence I want to ask, is there any medicine to heal my knee? Is there a guarantee of cure?
Hello Sanjiani, thank you for the question for HealthReplies.com
The ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) is the connective tissue that connects the thighbone (femur) to the shin bone (tibia). This ligament has a function to maintain knee stability. ACL injuries most often occur during sports, especially sports that involve a change in the direction of motion of the knee or a sudden stop, for example basketball, football, tennis, or volleyball.
Treatment for an ACL injury depends on the severity of the damage, your age, your profession and activity, and the severity of your symptoms. The following are some indications for ACL surgery:
You have an athlete profession or you want to continue to exercise, you have a young age and are still active, there is an injury to more than 1 ligament or an injury to the cartilage of the knee joint the knee becomes unstable when doing normal daily activities
Without surgery, it is likely that you will not be able to continue exercising as before, especially if the tear that occurs in your ACL is a total tear. You can do physiotherapy to maximize the function of your knee, but if you really want to continue to exercise, you should consult your orthopedic doctor again for surgery. There are no certain drugs that can restore an injured or broken ligament.
So much information from me, hopefully it will be enough to answer
