What Is The Cure For Stye?
, my eyes are swollen for a week, then it’s been treated without any changes, I think “what is the right medicine for those stye eyes? nThank you …
Hello, Thank you for the question for HealthReplies.com
Swollen eyelids, can be caused by many things, the following are some of them:
Hordeolum or stye
Allergies and irritation to the eyelids, for example due to the use of certain cosmetics, ointments or creams on the eyelids
Certain skin diseases that affect the skin of the eyelids, for example dermatitis, psoriasis, etc.
If you do see a lump on your eyelid that can appear to be filled with pus in it, accompanied by pain, then maybe you are experiencing a stye. The stye will usually heal on its own within 1-3 weeks. To help speed healing from a stye, here are some things you can do:
Compress your eyes with a warm compress for about 10 minutes 3-4 times a day
Avoid using cosmetics, especially in the eye area that is experiencing stye. Keep your cosmetics clean, clean your brushes regularly
Avoid wearing contact lenses during your stint
If you feel very painful, you can also use pain relievers such as paracetamol to reduce it.
If after 3 weeks your stye does not disappear, it may turn into kalazion. Kalazion usually only gives symptoms in the form of a lump on the eyelid which is not accompanied by pain. This condition is also a condition that is quite common. Therapy for both the same, namely providing warm compresses to the eyes. You can also do gentle massage on the lump in your eye.
If the condition persists and the lump does not disappear, you can consult an ophthalmologist for further evaluation and treatment. The eye doctor can order surgery to remove the lump in your eye.
So much information from me, hopefully it will be enough to answer
