What Is The Maximum Amount Of Evaporation For An 11-month-old Child With A Dry Cough?
Asalamualikum? want my child 11 months bb 9 kg. He is currently coughing dry and short of breath. I already have a prescription medicine for Steam Nebulizer. My question: How many times is maximum in steam for my child’s dry cough case?
Good evening, thanks for the question
Nebulizer or inhalation therapy is actually most recommended for asthma conditions both in children and adults. Inhalation therapy for asthma is very effective because it works directly to the narrowed lower airway, works quickly, does not cause systemic effects, the dose can be repeated until it gets the desired response, and requires small doses. For children with colds or common cold generally do not require inhalation therapy because the disease is curable spontaneously.
You should consult again with the treating doctor for this case, because the dosage can vary according to age and the therapy will also be adjusted to the needs and conditions of each child that can differ from one another. Inhalation therapy can generally be done 1 time a day to a maximum of 2-3 times a day depending on the condition of your child's illness.
That's all, hope you can help
