What Is The Time Period Of PSA With Crown Closure?
my front tooth broke more than half, the katan must be done with psa and crown closure … what I want to ask is the period of time of psa and crown closure, how long is that? and whether in that time period my teeth appear to be toothless / there are temporary patches that can cover the void?
Hi Misbah .. Thank you for the question.
Broken teeth for handling can be patched if only a few broken parts, but if the remaining fracture is low and until it reaches the dental pulp, root canal treatment is needed first. The process of root canal treatment begins with x-rays, followed by drilling dental cavities that are useful for making a path to clean the cavity of the tooth. The goal is to clean and eliminate the bacteria that are present so there is no infection. Furthermore, the doctor will provide temporary patches usually within 1 week the goal is that if infection still occurs then cleaning can be done or with drugs. Once it is sufficient and there is no infection, the doctor will make a permanent patch. During the root canal treatment process the doctor can administer local anesthetics to prevent pain.
After root canal treatment can be done with the installation of dental crowns that aim to replace the dislodged crown. The doctor will make a dental mold that matches your teeth and then the crown will be installed to wrap the remaining part of the broken tooth. During the process of root canal treatment and crown installation, temporary patches are provided to protect against ingress of food debris and bacteria. If you feel that you need to ask further questions and if you feel pain, swelling, then you can consult directly with the dentist. Besides that, keep your teeth and mouth healthy, brush your teeth regularly.
