What Is The Treatment For Malignant Tumor In The Thyroid Gland?
Please help answer, my brother is ill. Diagnosed with a malignant tumor in the thyroid gland and swollen neck. Sudsh can’t do anything, how do you handle it?
Hello Rosdiani, Thank you for the question.
Has your brother consulted further with a tumor surgeon / oncologist? Thyroid cancer is an abnormal growth that occurs in the thyroid gland, which is a gland that functions to produce the hormone triiodotironin (T3) and the thyroxine hormone (T4) located in the front of the neck. This hormone plays a role in various metabolic processes in the body. In the initial stages, thyroid cancer may not cause certain symptoms. However, when the cancer continues to develop, symptoms begin to be felt by sufferers which can include sore throat, difficulty swallowing, changes in voice becoming hoarse, pain in the neck, and swollen lymph nodes.
As with other cancers, the management of thyroid cancer depends on the type of cancer, the stage of the disease and the general condition of the patient, it can be removal of the thyroid gland, a thyroid hormone replacement drug, the use of radioactive iodine, radiotherapy, or chemotherapy. Due to limited information regarding your brother's condition, apologize I cannot provide further explanation / information. Therefore, to find out the best treatment for your brother, of course, must be discussed with further tumor surgeons. Please advise your brother to consult with a tumor surgeon so that further treatment can be given immediately to prevent further complications.
I hope this helps.
