What Pain Am I Experiencing?
Assalamu’alikum dok, I want to ask. Since the existence of covid-19 is required to remain at home, my status as a student is required to attend online lectures. The thing that I want to ask is, since I went through the online lecture I felt that my neck, shoulders, back and ears around the cheeks felt pain and this even spread to my head. The pain that I experienced was about a week more. What do you think the doctor is sick of? Thank you docWassalamualaikum wr. wb
Good afternoon, thanks for the question
Complaints of back head pain to the neck and shoulders with moderate to severe intensity is likely one of the causes is Tension Type Headache (TTH) or chronic tension type headaches. This type of headache is often associated with an increase in stress. This stress condition causes stiffness in the muscles of the head, neck, shoulders, and head vascularization resulting in quite disturbing headaches.
The diagnosis is made based on the typical symptoms above, while physical examination generally does not reveal significant abnormalities. If this complaint tends to persist, then while you at home can consume simple analgesics to reduce complaints of severe headaches, such as paracetamol or ibuprofen. Reduce excessive stress and positive thinking can help alleviate these symptoms.
However, if back pain is accompanied by high fever, convulsions, visual disturbances, weakness of limbs, or speech disorders then immediately do a direct examination with a doctor to rule out possible interference with the central nervous system in the head.
That's all, hope you can help.
