What Should Be Done If Breathing Is Difficult?
Hello, I have been having difficulty breathing for a few days, how do I deal with it? Then like that is one of Corona’s symptoms, what should I do?
Thank you for the question.
Shortness of breath can indeed be part of the symptoms of COVID-19 (a disease caused by the new Corona virus). But in addition, there are many other conditions that can also cause shortness of breath, such as viral or other bacterial infections, allergies, bronchitis, dyspepsia, pleural effusion, weakness of the heart, anemia, asthma, panic attacks, specific phobias, psychosomatic disorders, and etc.
This tightness should be wary of being dangerous if the intensity is very severe, to disturb sleep, or appear accompanied by other danger signs, such as palpitations, vomiting, body swelling, wheezing, fever for more than 3 days, pale, cold sweat, weakness, and etc. Regarding COVID-19, tightness is also worth watching out for when appearing within a span of 2 weeks after you contact COVID-19 sufferers, and after you travel or contact with people who have traveled from an area with a COVID-19 outbreak.
Is the tightness you feel accompanied by the signs above?
If not, you should not panic first. Overcome your tightness with more rest, warm compresses, do not eat too late, limit your intake of foods and beverages that contain gas (such as coconut milk, mustard greens, cabbage, sauce, coffee, tea, soda, fried foods), stay away from allergens and irritants airway (such as cold, dust, smoke, pollution), calm your mind, don't smoke, and exercise regularly every day. So that the risk of contracting COVID-19 decreases, stay at home first, unless there is an emergency matter.
If with the steps above, your tightness does not improve, or if the tightness appears accompanied by a warning sign as we have mentioned before, immediately check with your doctor or doctor in the nearest internal medicine ..
I hope this helps.
