What Should I Do When I Am Late For More Than 2 Weeks?
Hello, good afternoon,
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Basically you are advised to always follow the instructions given by your midwife or obstetrician regarding when you have to re-inject family planning. It would be better if you can come on the day that has been written on your KB card to re-inject. 3-monthly injection KB is usually scheduled to be given again every 12 weeks. However you have a 2 week delay injection window. If you are late injecting is still less than 2 weeks, then you can immediately do the KB injection as usual and do not need to use additional protection afterwards.
If you are late for injecting more than 2 weeks, and you have a history of intercourse after being late for the injection, then you must undergo a prenatal examination before you may be re-injected. After a family planning injection, you must also use additional safeguards for the first 7 days as you first performed the family planning injection.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
