When Can Babies Do Their First Immunization?
Tonight .. I want to ask how old the baby can do its first immunization after birth ??
Hello, thank you for the question to HealthReplies.com
Newborns will usually receive hepatitis B vaccinations as well as polio. Hepatitis B vaccine can be given immediately after birth (in babies born to mothers suffering from hepatitis B, it is even recommended to be given immediately in less than 12 hours). Oral polio vaccine can be given before the baby comes home if the baby is born in a health center (such as in a maternity clinic or hospital), but may be given immediately after birth if the baby is born at home. The first polio vaccine may also be given when the baby is 1 month old.
The following is an immunization schedule from IDAI (Indonesian Pediatrician Association) that you can read about. You can also read the immunization schedule on the Menuju Sehat Card (KMS) or the Maternal and Child Health (KIA) book which you can get for free at the puskesmas or posyandu around your home.
So much information from me, hopefully enough answer
