Where Is The Separation Of Drinking Water Disposal?
I want to ask, Why doesn’t the water we drink come out with feces in the anus? I’m still wondering where the separation between food and the drinking water we drink?
The gastrointestinal tract consists of the mouth to the anus. The process of absorption and breakdown of food nutrients can already take place in the mouth. Food and drinks consumed will experience gradual absorption. There is no part of the digestive tract that separates feces from water. That's not how it works.
When we consume food or drink, the oral cavity contains enzymes enzymes to break down food. Then the food will enter the stomach and process and absorb a little nutrition. Then food and drink enter the small intestine. In the small intestine, the liquid will be absorbed, as well as the liquid in the food (food also contains liquid). Then it will continue to the end of the large intestine. The food will be absorbed by its nutrients, and the remaining food that is not absorbed will be converted by bacteria in the intestine into feces. The stool will remain in the intestine and will be excreted through the anus. Meanwhile, nutrients and water will be absorbed gradually to the end of the large intestine. But you have to remember, that actually in the feces also contains a little water.
So there is no part of the digestive tract that separates feces and urine. Food and drink are absorbed and processed simultaneously in the digestive tract.
