White Spots Or Patches Appear On The Gums And Colored Tongue?
Hello. Not too long ago, about 5 days ago, my molars were removed. At that time my tongue was yellowish and there was like thrush on the dial of my tongue but, my dentist did not say anything. Then the color of my tongue changed to orange from the base to the tip. Even though this color has diminished now at the tip but instead, white patches appear on the part of my gum where the tooth is pulled. That is why, and where or to the doctor should I seek treatment ?? Thank you. NB: I don’t smoke or drink alcohol. My cavities are almost 2 years old.
Hello Mega Mashel, thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Reading complaints that you are experiencing at this time, it could be caused by several conditions such as inflammation of the gums (gingivitis), fungal infections of the mouth, mouth sores, leukoplakia, or moral lichen planus.
Because there are several possible causes, it is highly recommended that you check your condition more closely with the dentist because the dentist is more competent in diseases related to the mouth and teeth. If needed, you might be advised to consult further with other sub-section dentists to get optimal therapy.
For now, you should always pay attention to the cleanliness of your teeth and mouth so as to prevent infection or inflammation. It is also advisable to continue to avoid cigarettes and alcoholic drinks. Also make sure you always get enough nutrition every day because lack of certain nutrients can cause complaints that resemble your current complaints. Do regular exercise and consume enough drinking water every day.
I hope this helps.
