Why Do You Often Pass Out For A Long Time For About 30 Minutes?
Why did I faint within about 30 minutes? Sometimes I often experience continuous fainting. I have a trauma to the right head due to the impact of an accident, r nBut what I know is that fainting is usually short, why is this happening in a long time ago? R nThank you
Good evening, thanks for the question
Fainting or syncope is a sudden loss of consciousness that occurs temporarily, causing the sufferer to fall. Before syncope usually will experience symptoms such as signs:
- Cold extremities
- Rapid breathing
- blurry vision
Brain tissue is very dependent on adequate oxygen intake to carry out its functions properly. Syncope occurs when the blood flow that carries oxygen to the brain decreases suddenly. The body will generally respond to a decrease in blood pressure to the brain quickly, but the condition causes symptoms such as dizziness and sweating. If this happens for a long time, syncope can occur. Decreased blood flow to the brain can also be caused by temporary disturbances in the nervous system that regulates autonomic functions including heart rate and blood pressure.
Patient consciousness generally returns within 1-2 minutes after syncope. Then for 30 minutes thereafter there are usually complaints of weakness and confusion, but in that phase the patient has been categorized as having regained consciousness.
If the time of fainting takes longer until your consciousness is fully recovered, the condition should be consulted further with a doctor so that direct evaluation and physical examination can be done.
Some other conditions that need to be watched out if it occurs together with syncope complaints, namely:
- Has no previous syncope history
- History of previous repeated syncope
- History of diabetes
- Is pregnant
- History of heart disease
- Accompanied by complaints of chest pain and irregular heartbeat
To avoid repeated syncope complaints, do the following:
- Avoid precipitating factors such as hot and crowded environments or emotional stress
- If you experience symptoms of pre syncope should immediately lie down with your feet elevated or sit down if it is not possible to lie down.
That's all, hope you can help
