Hello My child is 4 months old and has been replacing Formula milk containing Allerpre for a week because there is an indication of an allergy to regular formula milk. But after a week of consuming the milk immediately experience diarrhea. Within 1 day can be up to 6 x BAB .. Is something wrong?
Hello Rizky! Thank you for asking at HealthReplies.com.
Cow's milk allergy is an allergic reaction caused by consumption of milk or milk products. The substances in milk that cause allergic reactions are the protein content in them. The milk that you mentioned contains partially hydrolyzed milk. That is, the protein in milk has been broken down, so that allergic reactions can be prevented. The milk should be given based on a doctor's advice or prescription. If your child is indeed diagnosed with milk allergy by a doctor, see the doctor again and tell me the side effects of milk that your child feels. Your child will be re-examined to find out what causes diarrhea and whether the diarrhea that occurs is related to the milk you drink. The doctor will explain to you about the disorder that occurs and what needs to be done next. If the mother can still give milk, it is better for children who are allergic to cow's milk to be given breast milk only. Breast milk is very rarely cause allergies in infants. Breast milk is the best milk for human babies.
That's all information from me. I hope this helps.
