Noon I’m a 20-year-old student. I often wake up feeling dizzy and my body and eyes feel hot and also my waist aches. What do you think this symptom is? Thank you
Hello Ana Nur,
Dizziness that arises when you wake up is a common thing experienced by many people. This is caused by sudden changes in body position, from lying down to sitting or standing. In the inner ear there is a balance organ in which there is fluid. When changing positions, the flow of fluid will change, so the body needs time to adjust. Some factors that can aggravate dizziness after waking up are sinusitis, sleep apnea, lack of body fluids, and low blood sugar levels.
Heartburn when you wake up can be caused by dry eyes. This is especially true for people who sleep with their eyelids not closing completely. Giving eye drops lubrication before sleep can reduce complaints. Low back pain can occur due to poor sleeping position and sleeping pad. Diseases that can cause complaints of low back pain in the morning are osteoarthritis, tendonitis, and bursitis. To determine the right diagnosis does require a physical examination and supporting examinations at the doctor.
Try to pay attention to your sleeping position, use a mattress that is softer or not too hard, try to lie in the supine position, use a blindfold. When you wake up in the morning, sit slowly and just stand up. Thus the explanation from me, may be useful.
