Why Does The Right Eye Hurt And Sensitive To See The Light?
My right eye hurts and if I see a painful light and also if my eyes turn slightly upwards, why is that?
Hello Maulana, thank you for asking.
Introduce me Dr. Rio will try to answer your question.
Your symptoms lead to photophobia / photosensitivity. Photophobia is actually not a disease, but a sign and symptom where the eyes become more sensitive when they see sunlight. Other symptoms are felt such as glare, dry eyes, sore eyes, or pain in certain parts of the eye. This event can occur in one or both eyes.
Some eye diseases that may be accompanied by complaints of photophobia / sensitive photos are:
Dry eye. Conjunctivitis. Keratitis Uveitis. Cataract. Migraine. Long-term use of certain drugs. Meningitis. Some of these diseases can be diagnosed based on direct examination by a doctor / optometrist. The doctor will recommend and carry out several examinations to support some of the diagnoses above.
Right now what you can do is:
Use sunglasses when outside the room to reduce complaints that you experience. Avoid staring at bright light directly Rest enough, reduce eye work by sleeping early and reducing the use of gadgets. Evaluate other complaints such as headaches, nausea, head spin, fever, etc. Avoid cigarettes and drink alcohol. Consult a doctor if the complaint gets worse. That's all the answers I can give, thank you very much :)
