Good morning, I am a grade 3 high school student, I am 17th 11 months old, I want to ask why my head hurts so much like being stabbed and throbbing so I can’t do other activities but it only happens for a few minutes, but this pain has already happened around the 2th, what do doctors think?
Hi Anastasya Syifa,
If you often experience headaches, then this condition basically has various causes. Harmless conditions such as fatigue, stress, lack of sleep, hunger (hypoglycemia), dehydration, or exposure to hot sun can lead to headaches. In addition, certain medical problems such as tension headaches, cluster headaches, or migraines can also be a source of headache. However, please note that headaches can also be caused by other more serious conditions such as brain blood vessel disorders or even brain tumors.
If you experience persistent headaches for up to 2 years, you should see a neurologist so that they can be examined further. The doctor will perform a physical examination, and if necessary supporting tests such as a CT scan or blood test can also be recommended by the doctor to investigate the cause further. Thus, you can be given proper treatment according to the basic cause.
To reduce headache complaints it is recommended that you:
Get enough rest, set enough sleep time for 7-9 hours every night Don't be too tired and limit strenuous activities Eat regularly, don't get used to eating late Limit consumption of MSG / monosodium glutamate Increase consumption of water at least 2 liters a day If you have a headache disturbing can take pain relievers such as paracetamol Moderate exercise regularly Manage stress wisely
