Assalamualaikum, I am a mega …. Please ask if your left chest is like a fast heart, why? What causes and what medicine?

1 Answer:

Good morning, thanks for the question

A palpitation or a throbbing chest may be caused by an increased heart rate. Normal heart rate in adulthood is 70-100 times per minute. Heart rate more than 100 times per minute is classified as fast or tachycardia which can be caused by several conditions, namely:

- Increased body temperature or fever
- Dehydration
- Post physical activity
- Hyperthyroidism
- Anemia
- Caffeine
- certain medications
- Blood pressure is too low

If palpitations are accompanied by severe symptoms such as shortness of breath, palpitations, chest pain, cold sweat, or fainting then you should do further tests. Tachycardia that causes severe symptoms such as the above known as tachyarrhythmia must be evaluated by a doctor to find the cause and for further treatment. Further treatment will depend on the specific underlying cause. In addition, if complaints occur suddenly and are felt to be very severe, then immediately go to the emergency department for quick treatment.

That's all, hope you can help.
Wassalam.
