Wrist Pain And Beeping Due To Dislocation?
Good evening doctor, I am dead asking about the dislocation in the wrist. At first the motor beside me was going to fall and reflex I caught the handlebars, and after that my wrist was aching and there was a “loud” sound rather loud, and the pinky part was rather difficult bent. I have X-rays and the results: good bone position, good bone density, good joint gaps. Then how to treat it?
Hello Mutia Al Ayasii,
Dislocation is a shift or exit of bone from its normal position. Dislocations can occur in parts of the joints such as the shoulders, arms, knees, pelvis, jaw, and so on. Dislocations often occur due to trauma with a large force such as a vehicle crash, falling from a high place, sports, etc. Symptoms that arise when a dislocation occurs are:
Swelling in the joint area Pain when moved Tingling sensation in the affected leg / arm / affected area Changes in shape or appearance of different bone protrusions from the other side of the foot / hand Apart from physical examination, the diagnosis of dislocation is assisted by X-ray examination or MRI examination. X-rays are especially useful for looking at the position of bones and the state of bones (broken). On your normal examination results, there is no bone dislocation because it says the position of the bone is good. MRI is used to look at tissue conditions such as muscles or tendons (which cannot be seen with x-rays) that may be injured during dislocation.
Handling of dislocation is by reduction / repositioning done by a doctor. After that the joint will be immobilized (restricted movement) with the use of splint, or a cast for the time being. The doctor will also give pain relief medications. After that the patient may need physiotherapy to practice the movement of the dislocated joint.
Thus the explanation from me, may be useful.
