Yellow Discharge From The Ear?
Afternoon, I am the mother of a child aged u month, ank I have been 2 days always issued yellow fluid from the left ear, the fluid resembles yellow mucus. What is the cause huh ?? And what should I do ??
Good evening, thanks for asking at HealthReplies.com. The conditions that your child experiences can occur due to various causes, including:
Outer ear infection
Middle ear infection
Cerumen prop or buildup of earwax
Ear fungus infection
Incoming foreign objects in the ear
Bacterial skin infection
Our advice, you should immediately check the condition of your child at the ENT doctor, so that an examination can be done immediately by looking into his ear, what medical conditions are happening there. Your child's ENT doctor will determine whether there are indeed signs of infection and inflammation, foreign bodies, or earwax. After that, then the best treatment can be determined.
In the meantime, don't drop anything into your child's ears, don't scrap it, and don't use a cotton bud because it can push dry dirt and mucus deeper and deeper. If you want to clean it, just use gauze or clean cloth that is pressed through the external ear. In this way of course there is still residual impurities left in the ear, but that will be part of the ENT doctor with a special tool he has. Also, be careful not to let water enter your ears, and keep your body clean overall. So, hopefully answering your question.
