Yellow Mucus From The Anus?
hello, i’m bianca. I am 19 years old. I just mentioned, it didn’t come out of stool but long yellow mucus like that. is this dangerous? and my stomach is also like heartburn
Hello Bianca, thank you for asking.
Stool mucus (feces) generally indicates a process of infection in the intestine. Infection can occur due to bacteria, fungi, or parasites. Generally the symptoms are accompanied by heartburn, stomach cramps, sometimes fever, or nausea, vomiting. Stool mucus may also be affected by certain types of food.
Another possibility is inflammation of the large intestine (colitis) or diverticulitis. But this condition is often accompanied by blood in the stool. Consult this matter with your doctor. The doctor may need to do a stool analysis to look for possible causes. Therapy depends on the findings of the doctor.
You can try to improve your symptoms by drinking plenty of water, avoiding too greasy and spicy foods. Choose the type of food that is easy to digest. Thus a brief explanation from me, hopefully helping you. Regards.
